I’m hoping that everyone is safe and well?

Just a very quick update to say that due to the new guidance changes, we have had some families asking how it affects us within the home and visits away from the home.

The guidance within the care sector will remain the same- we knew that this would happen as we have the most vulnerable people within our care.

However, we have had discussions with the local GPs, and they have confirmed that by 1st April every resident will have been offered their 4th vaccination.

I hope you all agree that this will be a huge step forward with regard to ensuring our residents are as well protected as possible.

When details are finalised, we hope to hold a meeting where we discuss future plans involving staff, residents, and families to agree on the way forward.

We intend to send a questionnaire to you all families, prior to the meeting to help us identify any concerns you may have to enable us jointly to plan our future strategy to suit individual needs in the future.

In the interim when visiting the residents in the conservatory we require masks to be worn at all times, and if taking your family member away from the home we would ask you to ensure that you visually risk assess where you are going. For example, if you are going to a restaurant then please ask to be seated in the least congested areas.

We are so near the end of these difficult times, so let’s not drop our guard and maintain our amazing low infection rates.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your kind words of support and let you know your sentiments are shared with all staff members as it helps to boost the morale of the staff in these difficult times.

As ever, if you require any further support or advice please do not hesitate to email/call either me or Vince.

Kindest Regards

Lindsay, Vince and Team Hendra
