We have held off with our update to ensure we have had the opportunity to discuss our concerns with Health Professionals and family members when they have been visiting.
We feel at present we are operating our visits in the safest and least restrictive way with Covid cases on the rise again.
There has been feedback with reports in Ludlow and care homes having new cases of outbreaks even after their two vaccines have been given.
We feel that with the national restrictions changing today, we as a care home are not comfortable easing our restrictions, the five named friends or relatives have been working well for us. We are going to continue with this – offering visits either in the lobby, conservatory, or garden throughout the week.
Advance booking is required, so please phone the home to book your preferred option.
Our last whole home swab came back with everyone negative, so that was great news and hope you realise we are all doing everything we can to keep everyone safe.
We will review our visiting arrangements once the three-week window has passed and we have hard evidence on how the national restriction change has impacted the number of cases and any significant changes in the infection rate.
We are now in possession of the LFDs for you to access.
They are in boxes of seven and anyone wishing to, can complete their LFT at home and send Lindsay a copy of the email confirmation to lindsay@hendrahouse.co.uk.
This will speed up the visiting process as you will have the results of the test prior to the visit.
If you would like any, please ask the staff and they will be more than happy to provide you with a box.
We will be holding a resident’s garden party tomorrow, so reluctantly there will be no visiting allowed between 11.30 and 2pm.
