The final session of Fire Safety training took place slightly earlier than normal this year as the instructor, along with his wife, will be flying off to Malaysia to spend Christmas with their daughter and her family.
Dick Ibbotson has been a big part of Hendra and has been an important part of the success of the home, being the home’s fire safety trainer and fire safety consultant.
Prior to his retirement in 2002, Dick was the Fire Master (Chief Fire Officer) of Dumfries & Galloway Fire and Rescue Service.
Staff and residents are delighted that Dick still makes an important contribution to the safety of the residents and staff at the home.
