The home was recently challenged to a charity football match organised by the staff at Hagley Place.

The only problem was that none of the girls had ever played football before.

In order to overcome the shortfall a number of training sessions were held under the watchful eye of Jamie Wear who gave his time voluntarily.

Training was stepped up in the week prior to the match, with some of the girls carrying knocks into the game. The main injuries were suffered by Lindsay and Mel, who were clearly suffering before the match.

Working on the mentality of “Quitters Never Win, Winners Never Quit”, they were prepared to put themselves through the pain barrier just to represent the home.

The photos below show the severity of the knocks they were willing to play with and not let their colleagues down.
