Like the rest of the country celebrations to record the 75th anniversary of the Allied Forces victory in Europe was a little subdued.

Whilst many of the residents were keen to mark the occasion, there were also a couple of residents who served in the war and did not wish to share in the activities for their own personal reasons which we were obviously happy to respect.

To accommodate their wishes, it was decided to downsize our celebrations and restrict the decoration of the home to the conservatory where those who wished to could enjoy the celebrations and those who did not wish to could reflect in the privacy of their own rooms.
