I’m updating you all on the progression of cases through the home.

At present, we have nearly 2/3rds of the home displaying a Covid positive on an LFT.

As you will appreciate, this seems to be a very high number of residents. However, after speaking to both Public Health England and Shropshire Council there are currently 10 homes in Shropshire in complete lockdown, of which 5 are in South Shropshire with very similar figures.

Due to the number of cases, we are closed to visitors.

If you feel that you need to come and see them, we are allocating ONE named person to visit during this outbreak. However, as you would appreciate to try and keep it confined to the home it would be best to visit once the home is clear, which at present would be after the 3rd of February.

We have completed a whole home PCR test today and will repeat these again on Friday. And any changes to dates and visiting will be announced.

If you can possibly keep the calls to the home minimal, as you will understand, it’s all hands on deck.

If you can email me, I will email or call you back. If there are any serious changes/deterioration you will be alerted via phone call by a staff member.

Thank you for your patience. Can I ask you all to also check your email from Saturday just after 10pm as some families didn’t receive it?

If this is the case I am more than happy to resend it.

Kindest Regards

Lindsay, Vince and Team Hendra
