As you will all appreciate, we’ve had an unprecedented few weeks.
I want to update you all on where we are at present with both the residents and the home.
Unfortunately, we were hit by 5 episodes of Covid 3 staff; and 2 residents tested positive, and a third resident tested positive on an LFT and negative on the PCR therefore deemed as a false positive.
This means that the home at present is free from Covid positive cases, however, a whole home PCR swab was completed yesterday, and we are awaiting the results. If all are negative, it will deem the home officially out of lockdown. We are hoping that these results will be back today or tomorrow, and visits can resume as before. …….
Room Visit | ONE visitor at a time. No mask required unless walking through communal areas. |
Conservatory Visit | If ONE visitor then no mask is required however this option allows multi visitors together. If more than ONE visitor this changes the visit to communal (3 or more people including resident) and therefore a mask needs to be worn at all times. |
Outside | Multi Visitors and no masks are required. |
Away from the home | Please be sensible and ventilate the car if there are only 2 of you in it or mask if more than 2 passengers. We are trusting all steps possible are taken to enjoy the day but remain safe. |
Visiting Requirements | No LFT is required to visit the home, however, if you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms then you must not visit. If you have been abroad in less than 5 days, please let staff know ….. visits are still able to take place, but a face mask will be required and adhere to social distancing. |
Great news regarding the next covid vaccinations, the GP has confirmed that there will be a clinic this evening for all residents and staff therefore, there will be no visits after 4pm today as all staff will be required to observe and support the clinic. If you could possibly refrain from contacting the home from 4pm this evening, it would be much appreciated to prevent any distractions.
Can I take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you for your support and patience whilst the home, residents and staff have complied with Public Health England’s Advice, it has been very much appreciated.
If you need to discuss anything, please do not hesitate to contact Myself or Vince.
Kindest Regards
Lindsay, Vince, and all of Team Hendra xx
