Hope that you are all well?

Sorry, it’s been a little while since my last update, as you will appreciate, I have been away for my honeymoon but left the home in more than capable hands ….. Hendra Team.

They have shown amazing dedication and commitment in my absence a team I am very proud of.

There’s not much to report regarding the guidance as there have been no changes. Staff are still completing LFT tests on a daily basis and visitors to the home have been amazing providing their negative LFTs to ensure the safe running of the home.

Unfortunately, we have recently had a report of a positive result from a visitor who had been in the home the day before and was negative on their visit.

We are aware that at present there is an increase in cases after the jubilee and with the holiday season fast approaching. Therefore, it is important that when visiting the home masks will remain mandatory.

Unfortunately, with the rise in cases, there will be no drinks provided for guests as this will mean face mask removal, and could visitors refrain from using the toilet facilities whilst visiting as this is also an increased risk.

On a positive of all these don’ts, I am pleased to inform you all that the visiting slots have doubled so there will be more availability, could I please ask that if there are more than 2 visitors coming together to see a resident, please can the conservatory be used as we are able to ventilate this area more effectively.

The visiting options are still Door, Conservatory, Bedroom, and this has been working well.

Hopefully, we will have an update regarding moving forward from Public Health England, seen as Wales and the NHS have moved towards the least restrictive PPE.

If you have any comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me or Vince and we will be more than happy to help.
