We reported in the last blog the passing of Vince’s dad, Don, whose funeral took place on 26th June.
In his younger years, Don was a retained fireman in Ludlow for over 20 years and was the last surviving crew member who was on duty the day they opened the current Fire Station in Weeping Cross Lane in 1967.
As a mark of respect, the current crew formed a guard of honour as he passed the station for the last time on his way to the crematorium.
Respect – Thank you, Ludlow Fire Fighters
