Despite what the pandemic has thrown at us many of our residents and their relatives have commented on and praised the sacrifices made by all staff members in ensuring that our residents remained as safe as possible.
Their attention to detail, especially with regard to infection control has been what one daughter described as “Inspirational” this belief is reinforced by the fact that of over 4300 tests being completed only three residents tested positive, and thankfully all residents made a full recovery.
During the pandemic, our staff had had to continue their roles and responsibilities as carers, wives/ partners, mothers, and carers for members of their own families.
It is therefore amazing that during the past nine months only two staff members tested positive, despite many of their children having positive test results.
