One of the consequences of the pandemic has been the restriction on visitors to the home. As a result, it was necessary to extend the periods of some regular safety inspections.

This was done in consultation with our Health and Safety consultants and carried out after a detailed risk assessment had been completed and with the residents and staff safety at the centre of any decisions made.

With the reduction in visiting restrictions, we have recently carried out detailed and comprehensive assessments and testing of our legionella, electrical and water temperature policies, and procedures. Interim assessments during the pandemic have been carried out by staff and we are delighted to announce that we have been able to complete all of our internal safety inspections as planned.

In addition, we were able to carry out Fire Safety and Risk Assessment Training for new staff. We took the opportunity to practice our evacuation procedures at the same time.
