The home, like the rest of the nation, was stunned and saddened at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on Thursday evening.
Some of our residents and staff have been privileged to have been in the company of Her Majesty, and everyone at the home sends our sincere condolence to all members of the Royal family.
Some of you may know that Hendra House was given the flowers from the Queen’s bouquet when she last visited Ludlow.
These were pressed and mounted and hung proudly in the home. A unique memento of a wonderful visit by an amazing lady.
Rest in peace, Your Majesty and thank you for your service and dedication to our great country and the Commonwealth.
