Hendra House has been selected to trial and analyse a new type of patient alarm system which is based on thermal imaging and patient movement. As such it will detect patient movement before they attempt to get out of bed which will alert staff and enable them to respond more efficiently. As a result, it is hoped that potential risks relating to falls can be minimised and hopefully be eliminated.

The new system is being developed by Alarm Radio Monitoring of Leominster who have installed all of the homes fire and patient safety systems for the past 15 years.
