Just updating you all on the current situation at the home.

We whole home tested all the residents with another PCR on 29th September which identified that we had 2 residents who tested positive.

The families of the 2 residents have been updated throughout of developments and our aim is to keep everyone as safe and well as possible. We are hoping that both the residents and staff members make a full recovery.

We are working tirelessly to contain the outbreak. All residents have been tested daily over the past days which has been an amazing commitment from our residents and staff, and I am delighted to inform you that no further positive cases have been found.

Not only have we been trying our hardest to contain the virus we also facilitated the booster injections for staff and residents who were eligible, and we hope this will enhance the safety of both our residents and staff.

I will be on annual leave as of today. However, I will be in constant contact with the staff and residents and will be available to offer advice and support as appropriate.

During my leave 2 of my Lead Practitioners, Gemma Locke and Rosie Hawkins will take over responsibility for the running of the home and welfare of our residents during my absence ably supported by Vince who will manage all non-care matters.

As a consequence of the outbreaks, there will be no visits to the home allowed until 17th October.

However, depending on the results of ongoing testing door visits may be able to resume again from the 11th of October. Please check with the home as to the current situation before making a visit.

I return to work on the 20th of October.

Keep safe Lindsay
