Hendra, along with the Ludlow community, was saddened and shocked to hear of the passing of Ann Barge, a local minister who was so much loved and respected within the town.
Ann was a special friend to the home and carried out communion at Hendra for many years along with her assistants Sue Thomas and Marina Clent. Ann would also make herself available day or night to meet the spiritual needs of all of our residents, which was even more commendable as she didn’t drive.
We know that Ann is now at rest after a lifetime of service to the local community and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege and pleasure of knowing her.
