Thank you for your patience and understanding through the last few weeks, which has been much appreciated.

As some of you may know I am on my honeymoon after getting married yesterday, but unfortunately, Gemma has had to self-isolate as a result of her son contracting Covid, so to lessen the loan on Rosie and the rest of the staff I felt it important to keep you all updated.

The latest update is that we have completed our final whole home swab, to cover the final 14-day isolation period to prevent the spread. The one completed this week is to ensure there have been no further developments. Once these results are back hopefully either today or tomorrow then the door visits will resume.

Of the 2 residents that tested positive, one had very mild symptoms and has recovered while the other resident needed hospital intervention to stabilise their condition.

It’s great to hear that all residents and staff have improved and will be returning in due course.

Please be assured that there will be adequate and appropriate tests completed prior to any home re-admission to minimise and hopefully eliminate the risk of transmission.

There are a few staff members that have had children test positive over the last few days and therefore we feel – as a home, the members of staff should not be at work.

This has had an impact on the remaining staff as they are working hard to ensure that staffing levels and skill mixes are maintained.

As a result of our considerable investment in staff training and development, we are fortunate that most staff are medically trained and are able to lead shifts if required.

Can I thank the staff for the outstanding teamwork that they have all shown during the pressures of the past 3 week’s.

Please don’t forget if you need any further information or support, please do not hesitate to send an email to myself or Vince and we will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Thank you all again for your support and kind words over the last few weeks xx
