This is probably one of the saddest posting I have made on the blog to date.

Today we say goodbye to Judy Yapp one of our longest serving employees who will be retiring.

Judy has been employed in the sector for more years than she would care to remember and has been employed at Hendra House for over 20 years.

Judy has been a mentor and inspiration to so many of our new employees as she showed staff how to carry out their roles in a empathic and caring manner with the personal choices of each resident at the heart of what we do for them.

Judy has been a model employee and a source of knowledge and experiences which she shared freely with both her managers and her colleagues.

Judy went about her duties in a quiet way, but if she felt something needed saying she would offer her opinion which was always greatly appreciated and respected.

Everyone at Hendra House wishes Judy a long and happy retirement and sincerely hopes that when lockdown restrictions have ended, we will see her at the home on a regular basis.

It has been a privilege to have known you and worked with you enjoy your deserved retirement.
