Sadly we lost another of our much-loved residents recently namely Gladys Stokes.
Her funeral, which she organised before her passing, included many of her favourite songs, which had a significant meaning in her life.
Amongst these was “Thank You for the Music” by ABBA, and as a mark of respect, Lindsay, our Care Manager, lit a candle in the church in Skopelos, Greece, where the story Mamma Mia was filmed.
In addition, with one exception, all of the photos printed on the order of service sheet were taken during her time at the home, which will provide a lasting memory for residents, staff and family members alike.
The home was represented at the service by Vince, Lindsay, Millie and Esmae, who were humbled by the kind words of the family relating to the support, love and care she received at the home.
