We always knew we had an outstanding staff team at the home, but if further evidence was needed, how the team responded to the recent floods was just amazing.
Within an hour of realising the severity of the situation, those living outside of the town ( Clee Hill and Cleobury Mortimer) were on their way home before the situation worsened and replaced by staff who were not supposed to be on duty.
It was an amazing effort, and well done, everyone.
Not so lucky was Dick Ibbotson, our Fire Safety Trainer, who drove in torrential conditions for over six hours to get to his home in North Yorkshire after making numerous detours to miss flooded roads.
