We are delighted to confirm that the homes new fire alarm have been installed.
To complement the system, we will shortly be carrying out the following improvements:
- A system whereby the lift will automatically take the system to the ground floor, which ensures that the lift cannot be used once the alarm has been activated.
- Moving the fire panel to new entrance.
- Design of new plans to record the new zones and locations of all fire detection equipment.
- Staff training to familiarise staff with the new system and revised and/or additional zones.
- Review resident evacuation procedure in alignment with the new system.
- A review of the homes Fire Safety Procedures with Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.
It is anticipated that all of the above will be completed in early November subject to no significant escalation of the pandemic.
