As part of our continuous improvement strategy, we have decided to increase the number of Champion Roles within the home.
The role of the Champions is to lead on a particular skill and discipline within the home.
In addition to the existing Champions, we already have in the home such as:
- Business and Financial Planning
- Health & Safety
- Staff Development & HR Planning
- Safeguarding / DoLS and MCA
- End of Life
- Infection Control
- Moving and Handling
- Tissue Viability
- Nutrition & Hydration
- Dementia
- Incontinence Management
- Medication
- Oral Health
We will be introducing additional champions in the following areas.
- Equality & Diversity / LGTB
- Internal Safety Compliance
- Dignity
- Well Being
The Champion roles will involve all Senior Management Team staff, as well as Team Leaders, Trainee Team Leaders and Care Assistants.
Where appropriate additional training and support for each of the Champions will be provided to ensure that all of our residents continue to receive the highest level of care possible.
